EX-ASTRONAUT Lady Saga. Navy ends the career of the icon astronut Lisa Nowak, who lost NASA job over a bizarre airport attack on a romantic rival. A panel of three admirals voted unanimously late yesterday to recommend that Nowak be discharged and her rank downgraded from captain to commander. The final decision will be made by the Navy secretary. Nowak was sentenced to a year on probation last November after pleading guilty to third-degree felony burglary and misdemeanor battery.
